It was a Thursday evening at the end
of May, after a day at our desks, and
we headed for a walk with Harris. It
had been a bright day, but still, we
didn’t expect this light, or this calm.
The water had a pearlescent sheen
as it undulated towards the shore.
The light felt magical. So gentle,
shifting constantly as the sun was
setting. These are the moments of
summer, and of these lockdown
weeks, that I want to hang on to and
remember six months from now.
