a trip by sea, air and  land
Our trip began in the air, flying over
the Belize barrier reef to our hotel on
a small island at the edge of the reef!
As it is a secluded island nearly 35
miles off the shore, all the power
must come from renewables. They
chose solar!
Ray Caye Island Resort
Sapodilla Cayes
Because it is in the middle of the
ocean, sunsets were on point ๐Ÿ‘Œ
First full day of adventures starting
off right with a sunrise timelapse!
Off to do my first scuba dive with
the team in the crystal clear,
warm water!
100% hooked on scuba.
Breathing underwater is
such an incredible
experience!!! ๐Ÿ
Also did some epic snorkeling!
This was one of my favorite shots.
Second order of business: island
scouting via ๐Ÿš
Arriving on a local island where
weโ€™d catch a boat to go explore.
Population: 6
Sapodilla Cayes
Seems like this would be a nice
spot to set up camp. Coconuts
are plentiful, so what else do you
After several days spent in the
Belizean waters, it was time to
head to the ๐Ÿ”
Crazy seeing these mangroves on
approach to land!
On board our plane to the
mountains to round out our ๐Ÿš to
๐Ÿšฃโ€โ™‚๏ธ to โœˆ๏ธ transfer for the day
Conditions made sitting in the
cockpit a bit spicy on this flight!
Thank god for GPS and radar
Blancaneaux Lodge Airstrip
Easily the best plane side option
Iโ€™ve ever been presented with ๐ŸŽ
Blancaneaux Lodge
Arriving at Francis Ford Coppolaโ€™s
hotel in the jungle! FFC directed
The Godfather!
Room was cool, itโ€™s open air, so no AC/heat,
but best of all, no single use plastics of any
kind at the whole resort. And...thereโ€™s a
shellphone, which is dope.
Look who decided to show up! Our
airborne friend for a jaunt deep
into the jungle!
After a quick cruise over the jungle,
we saw this...๐Ÿ‘‡
The caracol pyramid complex!
Visited by less than 2000 tourists
in 2019 (Iโ€™m sure quite a few less
As we were a group of 5 plus our
guide, we were the only people
here, which was...extremely
From the top we listened to the
howler monkeys and looked out
over the jungle!
Groundskeepers were enjoying a
break on the top ๐Ÿ˜‚
Blancaneaux Lodge
Back at the hotel for a night of rest
before an early morning
departure on...
Hope you enjoyed my crazy
experience in Belize. I think itโ€™s one
of the most underrated places in
Central America, maybe even the
world. I will be back soon!
