Where old meets new
Tarragona is located in northeastern
Spain, just south of Barcelona. The city
is renowned for being home to the
Roman ruins of Tarraco, designated a
World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

One of the most popular sites is the Roman battle arena.
Because of strict efforts to preserve the ruins, it’s possible to
even see the cells that warriors would wait in before walking
out to fight.
Aside from the ruins, the city is quite
mundane, featuring classic Spanish plazas
and tight cris-crossing side streets.
The Tarragona Cathedral is also a
big draw to visitors
You never know what
you might find.
