The Lake District

A Hike up The Old Man of
Conniston
,
This was our last hike before the start of
the coronavirus lockdown in mid-March

Back then the virus seemed distant and
faraway

Looking back now it is clear it was right
on our doorstep if not already upon us

This was the last time we would see lakes
and fells for months

And it was also the weekend we got
engaged 💍

,
1. It's important to start the morning off
right with a strong coffee and a good
view
,
2. We start the hike in the centre of the
quaint village of Conniston in the south
lakes

,
3. Spring has not fully sprung yet and
the rusty hues of winter linger still

Herdwick sheeps

stroll to the lake
